The Marathon Independent School District Board of Trustees adopted a 2022 Maintenance and Operations Tax Rate (M&O Rate) of $0.9429 per $100 valuation. The tax rate adopted is a lower tax rate than the 2021 Maintenance and Operations Tax Rate of $0.9790per 100 valuation adopted last year.
Please Note: The 2021 tax rate adopted exceeds the no-new revenue (previously called the effective tax rate) M&O rate of $0.8802 per $100 valuation.

2021 Tax Rate
The Marathon Independent School District Board of Trustees adopted a 2021 Maintenance and Operations Tax Rate (M&O Rate) of $0.9790 per $100 valuation. The tax rate adopted is a lower tax rate than the 2020 Maintenance and Operations Tax Rate of $1.0516 per 100 valuation adopted last year.
Please Note: The 2021 tax rate adopted exceeds the no-new revenue (previously called the effective tax rate) M&O rate of $0.95060 per $100 valuation.
THIS TAX RATE WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE
