The Marathon Independent School District Board of Trustees adopted a 2022 Maintenance and Operations Tax Rate (M&O Rate) of $0.9429 per $100 valuation. The tax rate adopted is a lower tax rate than the 2021 Maintenance and Operations Tax Rate of $0.9790per 100 valuation adopted last year.
Please Note: The 2021 tax rate adopted exceeds the no-new revenue (previously called the effective tax rate) M&O rate of $0.8802 per $100 valuation.
THIS TAX RATE WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE
THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 7.12 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $62.70

2021 Tax Rate
The Marathon Independent School District Board of Trustees adopted a 2021 Maintenance and Operations Tax Rate (M&O Rate) of $0.9790 per $100 valuation. The tax rate adopted is a lower tax rate than the 2020 Maintenance and Operations Tax Rate of $1.0516 per 100 valuation adopted last year.
Please Note: The 2021 tax rate adopted exceeds the no-new revenue (previously called the effective tax rate) M&O rate of $0.95060 per $100 valuation.
THIS TAX RATE WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE
THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 2.987 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $28.40
